Sugar Me

Well with Eurovision fever upon us, it's time to remember some past entrants and where better to start than with glam era babe Lynsey De Paul who came second with "Rock Bottom" in the seventies. Though I'm not posting that particular track because...well her other stuff was better and I thought I'd start with her first single, the briliant "Sugar Me".

'You don't understand I'm all that bling bling'

Quite possibly the best worst lyric ever.

And after reading on the Popjustice message boards that NG3 are still going and gonna release this year I thought we should be reminded of the nasty girls of Euro pop.

PS. See you in another 4/5 months (no, honestly I'll try and post more regular than that)

Great Cover Alert!

It's an oldie and (quite tragically) no-one probably remembers it and I don't even have a picture of the group but who cares!! It's probably the greatest cover of the camp classic ever.

A vicious thing. Par example this song, taken from the soundtrack of the excellent Stuntman, a classic (Oscar nominated no less) film that has since been forgotton by most as the sands of time pass by. Sung by Dusty Sprinfield, who at the time had herself faded into the background.

...Anyway it's great and no-one knows...probably!

20th Century Icon.

Yes The Fox

S-S-S-S-Samantha Fox.

(Also, someone tell Jentina to cover this, it could save her career...well you never know!)

French Affair

To be honest I can't ever really remember them but for some reason I have their album though I'm not exactly sure where I got it from (I think I borrowed it from someone and never gave it back). The song I'm posting however isn't from it but I think was the first single off their second album which I don't think ever got released.

It's ace
